large scale, conventional agricultural practices use petroleum derived fertilizers and pesticides to increase productivity and manage pests. these toxic chemicals infiltrate our water, air, and food, and have been linked to a wide range of health problems. nationwide, these persistant chemicals are turning up in groundwater and radically altering the natural food webs and nutreint cycles in our rivers, lakes and oceans. all edibles uses only organic seeds, starts and soil amendments, in combination with companion planting and bio-intensive methodology thereby eliminating the harmful chemicals used in growing edible plants and increasing the safety of the food our community eats.
