community empowerment begins with the development of local resources. with food production distributed throughout global markets and subject to disruptions in weather, transportation, and countless other factors, most of us have no conception of where our food comes from, how it got here and what may have happened along the way. re-localizing food within the community brings with it the knowlege and control needed to make better decisions to support the wellfare of our local communities.
